Maumelle
firefighters responded at 0740 Feburary 12 for a reported MVA with possible
injuries at the intersection of Maumelle Blvd. and N. Odom Blvd. Upon arrival,
personnel found two vehicles involved. Occupants of both vehicles were accessed
for injuries. Neither required further medical care. Firefighters cleaned
up spilled fluids and other debris from the roadway and assisted in traffic
control before clearing the scene. |

Vehicle
1 (in photo at top of the page) received significant damage to the passenger-side
rear panel. The rear tire came loose during the accident and rolled more
than 50 feet down N. Odom Blvd before crashing into a wooden fence. (Two
photos above) The truck's spare tire was also knocked loose and rolled north
on Maumelle Blvd. before landing in a storm drain. |

Vehicle
2 leaked a considerable amount of automotive fluids on the roadway. Firefighters
used an absorbant powder to contain the fluids. |

Firefighter
Adam Swalls of Engine 1-B rode out with C Shift on the MVA. Swalls assisted
in sweeping debris and pauses above for a photo while directing traffic through
the scene. |
