Engine
1 is a 2006 Smeal custom pumper on a Spartan MetroStar chassis. Engine 1
carries 500 gallons of water, three 1.75" pre-connected hoselines, two 2.5"
pre-connected hoselines and 800 feet of five-inch supply hose. The rig also
carries a full set of rescue tools and emergency medical equipment. Equipped
with seating for six, Engine 1 is normally staffed with 2 or 3 personnel
-- a company officer, an engineer and one firefighter. |

Engine 2, a 2010
Smeal custom pumper on a Spartan Gladiator chassis, is the newest piece in
the Maumelle Fire Department fleet. Engine 1 carries 500 gallons of water,
three 1.75" pre-connected hoselines, one 2.5" pre-connected hoseline and
800 feet of five-inch supply hose. The rig also carries a full set of rescue
tools and emergency medical equipment. Equipped with seating for six, Engine
2 is normally staffed with 2 or 3 personnel -- a company officer, an engineer
and one firefighter.

Truck
1's most notable features are its 75' aerial ladder and its additional supply
of ground ladders. Truck 1 carries a small amount of water and is equipped
with three 1.75" pre-connected hand lines, a 2.5" attack line and 5" supply
hose. Truck 1 is the second-out rig on structure fire responses and is normally
operated by volunteer firefighters.

Engine 3 is a
1996 Pierce Quantum pumper and serves as the department's reserve engine.
It carries 1,000 gallons of water and is equipped with two 1.75" crosslay
hand lines, a 2.5" attack line and 5" supply hose. Equipped with seating
for six firefighters, Engine 3 is housed at Fire Station 1 and is ready to
fill-in should either of the front-line engines be taken our of
service. |

1 carries 200 gallons of water and 20 gallons of Class A foam. It features
four pre-connected hose lines -- three 1" forestry lines and 100' of 1.75"
hose. The truck has four-wheel drive for service off-road and it carries
a variety of hand tools & equipment used in fighting wildfires. Brush
1 is also equipped with four SCBA packs, spare SCBA bottles, basic medical
supplies and can tow the Mobile Air
Unit, allowing the vehicle to be used in a variety of situations other
than fighting brush fires. Brush 1 is operated by volunteer firefighters
or cross-staffed by career personnel when needed. |

2004 Scott Liberty
II mobile light & air trailer. The Mobile Air Unit is equipped to provide
lighting and a practically endless supply of breathing air on the scene of
extended incidents. The trailer is equipped with four large air storage
cylinders, a 7.2kW generator and a telescoping light tower with four 500
watt lights. This unit was funded through the federal FIRE Act grant
program. |

Crown Victoria. This unit is currently assigned to Fire Chief George Glenn.
It was purchased as surplus from the Missouri Highway Patrol at a considerable
savings to the citizens of Maumelle. |

2002 Dodge Durango.
This unit is currently assigned to Division Chief John Payne. Chief Payne
serves as the department's fire marshal and, as such, is responsible for
enforcement of the fire code and cause/origin investigation of fires in addition
to the day-to-day management of fire department operations. |

2001 Chevrolet

2001
Chrevrolet Impala. This unit previously served as the fire chief's car. It
was replaced in Spring 2008 with a Ford Crown Victoria purchased as surplus
from the Missouri Highway Patrol. The Impala will serve as a spare staff
car and be used to transport firefighters to training and other
department-related activites. |
